Jan 06/09--Kagan Goh featured on World Poetry Café Radio

At 9:00 PM on Tuesday, January 6th, tune in to the World Poetry Café Radio Show, when hosts Ariadne Sawyer and World Poetry Lifetime Achievement Award winner Diego Bastianutti proudly present poet Kagan Goh!

KAGAN GOH has been published in anthologies such as Strike the Wok, The Return of the Downtown Eastside Poets, and The Bulletin. He is a well-established spoken word poet who has participated in poetry slams and numerous readings, open mikes, and festivals. Kagan was chosen as one of the feature poets for CBC radio’s “Poetry Face Off.”

Central themes running through Kagan's work are the damaging effects of the stigma of mental illness and the exploration of mental illness as a spiritual emergence and vehicle for personal growth and spiritual transformation. His deeply personal poems and short stories illustrate his transformation from victim to survivor to activist.

The World Poetry Café Radio Show can be heard in the Greater Vancouver area on 102.7 FM, or on the internet, at Vancouver Co-op Radio, www.coopradio.org. For more information about the show, please contact Ariadne Sawyer, at ariadnes@uniserve.com.

Our co-founder and regular host of the radio programme, Alejandro Mujica-Olea, is currently reading and travelling in Brazil and Chile. Our best wishes to Alejandro on his trip.
