Jan 05/09--Deadline for “The Many Faces of Love" Poems

First Call for International Submissions to World Poetry's “The Many Faces of Love" poems.

World Poetry is now calling for submissions of poetry for our interactive display, February 20-27th, 2009, at the Vancouver Public Library (Central Branch, Level 3 — Literature Section).

World Poetry volunteers will be manning the Create-a-Poem table at the VPL throughout the week. And to wind up the week, on February 27th at 7 PM, we will be celebrating our 8th Annual Gala in the Alma Van Dusen and Peter McKaye rooms at the Vancouver Public Library, 350 West Georgia Street, Vancouver BC.

Please send a one-page poem (one page of English-only text or one page of English and a second page of translation into another language) that speaks to "The Many Faces of Love" theme. The scope of the theme is broad, and many types of love can be explored in this display.

•   Font: Times New Roman
•   Type Size: 12 points
•   Paper: White
•   Margins: 1.0 to 1.5 inches

Poets from around the world are welcome.

Deadline: January 5th, 2009.
You will be notified if your poem is accepted. Selected poems will be read on the World Poetry Café Radio Show with your permission.
