2010 Pandora's Poetry Awards
Pandora’s Collective awards were designed to honour those in our community who have contributed in specific areas. With this in mind we then decided it was important not only to recognize these individuals but to take it to the street, meaning let the community decide who should be honoured. We are privileged to bring to you those names that have been nominated in the Vancouver writing community. They are names that you have put forward. There were many more that could have been on this list, and we do not take anything away from those individuals, they work hard too and should be recognized. But we only have three awards. These were the ones that kept coming up over and over again. We have listened and done the sorting. Now it is your turn once again to tell us which of these outstanding individuals you feel deserves to be recognized this year. We thank you for your time.

Correction: Dr. Hadaa Sendoo.

I am just learning how to do this blog and could not find out how to edit the previous post. Yikes!

Dr. Hadaa sendoo is coming from Mongolia May 15th!

** World Poetry Important News**
Dr. Hadaa Sendoo, the Mongolian internationally known poet, author and World Poetry Ambassador to Mongolia and China will be arriving in Vancouver, May 15th to spend ten days with us!
He will be the guest of honour for the Life Celebration of the ancient great Chinese Poet Li Bai, May 17, 6:30 pm, 17th at the Richmond Cultural Centre, Richmond BC.
Dr. Sendoo will be bringing greetings from the Zhongkun Poetry Foundation in Beijing, our respected partners for 2010 and is a wonderful supporter of World Poetry. He is a World Poetry International Committee member and is working closely with us to plan new programs and events.
If you want to invite Dr. Sendoo to your writing groups, meet with him, help with accommodation, or spend some time taking him to see the sights in Vancouver and Victoria, please let me know. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with an award winning poet, editor and educator who is fluent in Mongolian and Chinese and speaks some English.
We are honoured to have him visit.
